The Clayburn Challenge Program is offered for gifted and talented students in grades 6, 7 & 8. It is a self-directed, project-based program that provides an opportunity for students to pursue advanced studies in their own area of interest or talent. District Spaghetti Bridge Building Competition: Clayburn sent two teams of grade 8 students to compete in the district competition in March. Team Alpha placed third by building a bridge out spaghetti that was able bear a load of 1 kg for 60 seconds. Watch these clips of the teams hard at work:
Because of their third-place finish, Clayburn's team of Jesse, Bryce, and Tasha were invited to compete at the BC Skills Competition at Tradex in Abbotsford on April 22.
